Statement of Concern over Forced Deportation of Afghan Refugees and Urgent Call for Action
We, the Afghanistan Independent Bar Association in Exile (AIBAIE), express our profound concern and grave disquiet over the recent decision by the governments of Iran and Pakistan to forcibly deport Afghan refugees back to Afghanistan. This decision threatens the lives and well-being of vulnerable individuals who have sought refuge in these neighboring countries, often escaping violence, persecution, and dire circumstances in their homeland. The situation in Afghanistan remains perilous, marked by an alarming combination of instability, insecurity, and human rights abuses.
