Statement of the Afghanistan Independent Bar Association in Exile Regarding the Arrest and Forced Deportation of Afghan Refugees by the Government of Pakistan
The Afghanistan Independent Bar Association in Exile strongly condemns the arrest and forced deportation of Afghan refugees residing in Pakistan by the country's security forces. This action, which includes women, children, and other vulnerable individuals, constitutes a blatant violation of human rights as outlined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the 1951 Refugee Convention. It carries severe humanitarian and regional consequences. Such inhumane behavior, especially toward vulnerable groups, endangers their lives and security while exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region.
